A.   Standard of Competencies dan Basic of Competencies
-          Standard of Competencies
To understand and held arithmetical operation using numbers to solve problems.
-          Basic of Competencies
To know the fraction numbers dan held operation fraction numbers.
B.   Indicators of Result Study
Solve addition operation by involve fraction.
C.   Addition of Fraction

      Problem 1:
Amir buys cake that have been divide into 4 same part. Amir eats ¼ the cake, then a half of it given  to his brother. How many part the cake eaten by Amir’s brother?
Solution:
To solve the problem above, you must do the following steps.
-         We can see that the cake eaten by Amir is ¼ portion and drawn with horizontal effect and the cake given to his brother is ½ portion drawn with grid effect. So, the cake eaten by Amir and given to his brother is 3 portion drawn with effect or ¾ portion of cake.
So, ½ + ¼ = ....

Problem 2:
Notice the context below and answer the question!
The benzene on the Mr. Tono’s cars remaining 1/3  tank. The, Mr. Tono buy ½ tank again. How many tank of benzene on the Mr. Tono’s car?
Discuss and answer it!
Solution:
Now, the benzene in the Mr. Tono’s car is 1/3 + ....
The next step is equate the denominator both of that question,
so that obtain 1/3 + ... = 2/6 + ... = ...
So, the benzene on the Mr. Tono’s car now is ... portion of tank.
Problem 3:
Determine the result of addition 11/12 + 12/13.
Do the following steps:
 - Least Common Multiple (LCM) from 12 and 13 is 12 x 13 = ....
 - The addition fraction form become :
    11/12 + 12/13 = (11x13)/156 + (12x12)/156 = 143/156 + 144/156 = ....
So, 11/12 + 12/13 = ....

Problem 4 :
Determine the result of the addition 8 3/4 + 7 2/5
Do the following steps:
The LCM from 4 and 5 is ....
The form of addition fraction mixture become :
8 3/4 + 7 2/5 = (8 + 7) + (15/20 + ...)
                     = 15 + ....
                     = ....
So, 8 3/4 + 7 2/5 = ....
